Unions do have a place and need in certain industries... it's just that tech isn't one of them. Anyone sufficiently competent in the tech industry can improve him/herself and get a better income over time - far faster than the typical Union could ever get you. You seem to think all unions are the same. Tech workers would not do well with the sort of union that suits electricians and plumbers. It would have to have a light touch on some of the traditional union concerns, and concentrate on things like working hours and working conditions.
