Official results won't be available for weeks. There isn't a single state which has all of its ballots counted yet, and then there will be recounts. And we're already seeing a slew of lawsuits. (Haven't seen a single one of these which hasn't been dismissed so far... that's just pathetic.)

Hey. eerrr. wherever you're from. Literally every country in the world which has elections has "projections" and "calling it for". This isn't an American thing. Hell it's not even a presidential / national election thing.
Sure, but in other countries, people actually understand that they're just that; projections and guesses. We tend not to have politicians up here calling for the counting to stop because they happen to be ahead right then and there, while calling for the counting to continue when they're behind.
Well, no... but that's to do with having sane politicians and nothing to do with the people or the fact that they are projections and guesses.
Pretty much every country has the election result celebrated long before the final votes are counted. In every democracy in the world there's usually a celebration one way or the other on the day following election despite official tallying usually going on for weeks.
