YOUR KIDDING?!?!? Frankly, most of what was done or not done was Governors. If anything was done wrong, most of the blame lies with them and if anything was done right, most of the credit goes to them. They all want states rights until its time to own up.
Actually... masks probably don't help. They certainly don't do nearly enough. At best they can help you be slightly less likely to infect someone else. And that's if you bothered to buy one that is of any quality. They may legislate a questionable $100 fine for walking down the street without a mask, but there's nothing to say the jack-booted thug who stops to check you for a mask will look at the label and run it through a battery of tests before waving you on your way.
No, you're wrong. There is now a large body of published research showing that masks work. So go look it up if you care, but either way, remain ignorant no longer.
Masks work in aggregate, likely not for the reasons you think. If everyone studiously wore a mask, of course we would see lower infection counts, due to people not touching their own faces, and also restriction of mucous droplets from sneezing and coughing. All of which are easily solvable by other methods. Don't touch your face, and cough/sneeze into your arm, wash your hands. If people did those things studiously it would likely have a greater effect than mask wearing. That's my beef with the masks -
Exhaling droplets without coughing can spread the coronavirus and easily reach 2m. Exhaled/coughed droplets can remain suspended in the air for hours. I'm guessing you're not as careful as you think. Wear a fucking mask.
This is part of what bugs me. Most of the day, I can walk out on my front porch and look in all directions and not see another person. I can walk to and from the convenience store and maybe only see 10 people total. And in the store we wear masks. It's the Governor's decree and it's not unreasonable. But having to wear a mask any time you are out of the house is an over reaction here.
I understand that in dense cities, you can't stand on the street without breathing down someone else's neck. But that'
How many doctors were telling them masks don't help past March? Early on the cause/spread was a little unclear and there was some trying to conserve medical grade masks, but if people believe them when they said masks don't help several months ago and then never listened to their advice again, they weren't listening to begin with, they're just doing what they find most convenient.
There are a lot more studies out now that they're going by. There's always the chance that using a mask increases your and others' risk, but most of the research into how the virus spreads suggests otherwise.
But also trust the doctors to read up on the latest studies. I'm not a medical professional, I don't have the skills to evaluate each study to see if it's legitimate, but I trust my doctor and other reputable doctors that have a history of following science to do so. If the doctor says things about demon sperm, maybe don't trust that doctor
How can you make a blanket statement saying all studies are legitimate?
Of people to trust with medical advice, doctors should be at the top of your list. If "youtube conspiracy theorist" is higher, then you might have a problem
If you don't trust anyone, you DEFINITELY have trust issues. It's not worth being an expert in every field. Find other people that have already done that and listen to them
I understand statistics, but not all the medical terms use and I don't have a context for what some of the statistics mean. Most importantly, I don't know if a medical source is trust worthy and if the methods they're using are sound. A medical professional should be able to know those things whereas you and I would not.

If you want to declare yourself ignorant, leave me out of it.
Clearly you haven't spent much time reading scientific papers, otherwise you wouldn't consider yourself to be so ignorant. But since you haven't read papers, you literally are ignorant. That's unfortunate.
That's true, I don't spend much of my time reading scientific papers. I have other things to do so I look to other people that are experts in those areas to read them for me.
But since you're a genius and have read ALL of the scientific literature, perhaps you could share a couple of the papers you found more informative and how you know they're reputable and have good processes.
