dbune writes "Why do we get wrinkled fingers in the bath?
For a long time, it was assumed they were the result of skin swelling in water.
But a different theory has now been tested.

In short, UK researchers from Newcastle University have confirmed wet objects are easier to handle with wrinkled fingers than with dry, smooth ones. These could be coming from our ancestors as they moved and foraged for food in wet conditions"
