"Barack Obama delivered a major foreign policy speech in 30-minutes to 200,000 enthusiastic onlookers and supporters at the base of the Victory Column — the SiegessÃule in the middle of a roundabout called the Grosser Stern in the Tiergarten Park — Berlins sprawling park in the center of the city. When a reporter asked the senator if he considered the address a campaign event, he said with a puzzled look: As opposed to? "It's not a political rally," he added. "Hopefully, it will be viewed as a substantive, articulation of the relationship I'd like to see between the United States and Europe. I'm hoping to communicate across the Atlantic the value of that relationship and how we need to build on it."The entire text (added bonus pictures also from the Berlin Speech), to the Obama Berlin speech is down loadable at end of this narrative."http://thejunction.net/justfacts/2008/07/24/obamas-berlin-speech-videotranscriptanalysis/

"THE Zimbabwean Government is struggling to find enough cash to pay its workers, and more importantly the military, after it was forced to cut back on printing money because sanctions have severed its supply of banknote paper from Europe.
Officials involved in the printing say the regime fears the presses could be shut down altogether if further political pressure causes the withdrawal of software licences used to design and print notes."http://www.theage.com.au/world/currency-paper-chase-puts-pressure-on-mugabe-regime-20080724-3kjg.html

"I'm happy to report that every single Democratic challenger with more than $500k in cash on hand has announced their support for net neutrality. This is a milestone for the fight for internet freedom. One thing you'll notice is that there is basically no organized telecom or cable money going to any of these candidates."http://openleft.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=7125

The AP is reporting at http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080723/ap_on_re_us/anti_smoking_billionaires_4 that Bill Gates and Mike Bloomberg are teaming up to clear the air of tobacco smoke. "Comcast, a company known for their questionable tactics, has decided not to jump aboard the Usenet banning bandwagon. They are currently being pressured into changing policies by New York's attorney general. From the story:New York's attorney general notified Comcast that the state will take legal action if the company — the nation's second-largest Internet service provider — doesn't agree to eliminate access to child pornography.

"imgers.com is a phishing site for MSN Messenger users operated by TST Management, Inc.
It seems that
Microsoft decided to shut down its abuse@microsoft.com address in 2005.
When I reported the phishing site imgers.com operated by TST Management, Inc., a site configured to snatch usernames and passwords from MSN Messenger users and post its site address to all friends on the Messenger network in the form of clickable URLs, to abuse@microsoft.com, I got no auto-reply message.
The attacked account is being used to spew out URLs of the phishing site to all its friends on MSN Messenger instant messaging network.
So then I sent it to US-CERT instead.
How could Microsoft cancel their abuse address?"http://www.us-cert.gov/nav/report_phishing.html
